Reilly Fastring
Lead Security Engineer
Reilly Fastring works across some of TrustThink’s most technically challenging cybersecurity problems, with a particular focus on drones and UAS, penetration testing, intelligent transportation systems, and emerging security technologies.
His work combines hands-on security engineering with research and innovation. Reilly has led security assessments of commercial drone platforms, explored new approaches for AI-assisted penetration testing, and helped translate emerging cybersecurity techniques into practical engineering capabilities.
Reilly also contributes extensively to TrustThink’s transportation cybersecurity work. He has helped develop cybersecurity control sets for intelligent transportation systems and has presented technical training to manufacturers and infrastructure owners on securing connected transportation technologies. Beyond project work, Reilly is an active mentor to TrustThink’s cybersecurity interns, giving students hands-on experience with penetration testing, vulnerability analysis, and real-world security engineering.

Work Highlight
Securing Cyber-Physical Systems
One of the most interesting aspects of Reilly’s work is the range of cyber-physical systems he gets to secure. His projects have included drone platforms, intelligent transportation infrastructure, and connected medical technology.
Most recently, Reilly contributed cybersecurity engineering to a medical device that successfully completed the FDA approval process. The work required applying security engineering, risk analysis, and regulatory cybersecurity requirements to a system where software, communications, and physical operation all intersect.
